Spread the News of your Web Site:
International Newsgroups, Mailing Lists, etc.
Actively promoting your site in local Newsgroups and Mailing Lists (forums) requires local expertize and contacts, and often this comes down to local presence. We know how our way around the Newsgoups and Mailing Lists in all European languages, and can make posts to recommend others to visit your Web site. A successful online promotion program is a matter of hard work, knowledge and contacts in the online community. All our European affiliates spend their business life online and know how to work in their respective communities in a way that respects Netiquette.
The online promotion program includes the following:
- Working the Newsgroups in countries whose market you
wish to address. When it is done well, a talented
editor can post messages to Newsgroups and mention a Web site
that bears relevance -- without inspiring flames. It is an art.
The result of these activities are summarised in a contact report
about what actions were taken where.
- Working the Mailing Lists (online forums) is perhaps the best way of attracting clients, especially if they only have access to email. These forums are extremely subject-specific, so that if someone talks about your company's offering in one of the forums that has to do with the subject-matter of your product or service, you are sure to get several people asking for details after each message posted. Extremely qualified and interested prospects, wouldn't you say?
- Mutual Links. We can place links in various lists of
Web sites whose subject is related to yours. It is often possible
to have mutual links, just for the asking -- but you have to
find the appropriate Web sites
and, of course, you have to ask for the link and manage the
response.
- After the initial Web site promotion actions are made,
you will notice a considerable difference in the visitors to your
Web site, and this translates into sales. However, after a while
the number of visitors will drop off if you do not constantly
make an effort to attract them back, or bring in new ones. This
is why we recommend an on-going activity to keep on growing
the number and quality of visitors to your site: more press releases, more mutual links,
advertising your site using a banner placed on other sites (that
is, pure advertising), etc.
Another practice that can be quite useful in building traffic is using banner ads on targeted Web sites in the countries where you wish to build traffic.
