The Global Marketing Discussion List

Goals of the list
The Global Marketing Discussion List gives you advice for preparing your Website (and company) for addressing the world market. How to internationalize your site, the use of languages, how to drive traffic to your site from other countries, how to respond to prospects writing to you in languages you don't understand, and how to use local techniques of Website promotion to get more people from certain key countries to your Website. The Global Marketing Discussion List (GMDL) has been set up by
Digital Nation and our company as an area where all aspects of Global Marketing can be discussed.

The Internet's worldwide approach makes it easy to expand your company's exports: it is just as easy to market across the world as it is across the street. The issues of language, culture, currencies, payment mechanisms and trade barriers is especially keen in our consciousness, to make the world a truly single market whose market can be addressed through the Internet. These issues impact the way products and services are marketed to the non-Anglophone market (which represents 41% of today's worldwide online population) or vice versa.

While there are already some excellent Internet Marketing and Sales groups in existence, their content and audience tended to be U.S.-centric and we felt that a more global discussion group was required.

The Global Marketing Discussion List provides an area where any issue relating to Global Internet Marketing can be discussed. Issues that we be discussing include:
